An administration charge of 10% will be applied to auction items (only).
If you do not wish to bid on any of the auction items, but wish to purchase fixed price items, that is acceptable and in that case items so bought will, subject to the provision below, be despatched immediately on receipt of your order.
Those wishing to bid in the auction may order fixed price items also, but, unless instructed to hold items until the auction has been concluded, we will send these immediately. PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE NO BUS & TRAM TICKETS NOR LUGGAGE LABELS IN THIS ISSUE. THESE WILL RESUME IN OUR MAY CATALOGUE.
TO ENSURE FAIR DISTRIBUTION OF FIXED PRICE TICKETS ALL ORDERS RECEIVED UP TO SATURDAY 10th APRIL WILL BE HELD AND PROCESSED THEN.
AFTER THAT DATE FIXED PRICE TICKETS WILL BE DEALT WITH ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.
TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT YOU MAY WISH TO LIST ALTERNATIVES TO YOUR FIRST CHOICE WHICH WILL OFFER BETTER CHANCES OF SUCCESS.
Bidding InstructionsBidding Instructions
Please quote the Ticket Number, and state the maximum amount you wish to pay. Offers can be made by e-mail, phone text, or on the downloadable form. here. The successful bidder will be one step above the under bidder. Bids will be handled in steps as follows: Increments will be £1 up to £10, £2 between £10 and £30, £5 between £30 to £100, and £10 over £100 upwards. £10 for bids of £100 and over.
In the event of equal bids being received the first bid received takes precedence
You may enquire as to the current amount being offered against each ticket between 9:00am and 6:00pm each day until the closing date, and, if you wish, increase your offer to a higher amount. The website will be updated by 8:00pm each day.
Bidding closes at 8:00PM on Tuesday 20th April 2021
Orders will be processed and sucessful purchases posted out by 1st class mail by Thursday 18th March. Postage will be free providing the total sales are over £50, if not there is £2 charge.
An administration fee of 10% will be added to your invoice for Auction items only,to cover the service we provide. If you wish your tickets to be posted by Special Delivery an additional charge of £8.00 will be made for this. Signed for would be £3.00.
There is a search facility, however this does not include individual Luggage Labels.
ConditionAll tickets offered are issued and are in good/very good condition unless otherwise stated: U = Undated/unissued M = Major mount/damage C = major crease/creasing A = Audit clipped m = minor mount/damage c = minor crease Bd = Back damaged @ = Destination in manuscript If you have further enquiries regarding the condition of a particular ticket, please telephone, or e mail Joanna for advice. If, when you receive your tickets, you are not completely satisfied with any item, please return it asap for a refund.
PaymentPlease make your cheque payable to Old Railway Tickets, endorsing it “NOT TO EXCEED £xxx”, Unused cheques resulting from unsuccessful offers will be returned after the closing date.
Payment can also be made by BACS
Please note there is a fee for postage & packing, £2, on Fixed Price Tickets. plus a charge of 3% on PAYPAL transactions.

Railwayana, tickets, labels and ephemera wantedWe are always interested in buying collections or accumulations of tickets; anything pre-1970, rail, tram and possibly bus will be considered. You may also have Railwayana, labels and other railway ephemera that you wish to dispose of, if you have any surplus material, please let us know and we will arrange to value it and make you an offer.
